Stardew Valley: Ridgeside Village gives you a whole new town to explore

Ridgeside Village is a mod to give you more of what you love

There’s nothing better for a Stardew Valley fan than more Stardew Valley. We’re blessed that we still get official updates to the game, however, there are also some brilliant mods to bulk out the main experience and add another few hundred hours to your playthrough.

This is what you can expect from the Ridgeside Village mod. This mod offers so much new content it’s been downloaded over 1.5 million times and has received over 17K endorsements on Nexus Mods.

If you're playing on PC you have plenty of mods to keep you farming

To give you a quick breakdown of this Stardew Valley mod we have “over 50 new NPCs, a new location, new items, new shops, new festivals, custom music, custom quests, and more!” If we delve a little deeper we find over 400 new events, 50+ NPCs - 22 of which are marriage material, new festivals, a bunch of new quests, and who can forget, plenty of new farming items.

I’m always impressed when Stardew players tell me they have over 500 hours invested in the game, that’s some dedication, but this mod is going to probably double that feat. There’s so much to do it could be a whole new game. Scrolling through the list of new additions in this mod feels like it lasts forever, there’s that much to discover and try.

Players seem to be loving the additions, particularly to the romance options because we all love a bit of romance on the side of our back-breaking farm work. It seems the development team has put in many hours of love building something authentic for the fans. There’s even a whole new musical score and a host of new animations to make the transition from one village to another feel like a cohesive part of the game. So, who’s ready to start a new game and get cosy?
