Unfortunately, yesterday’s Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase was a tad underwhelming.
It’s nice to see so many cross-platform releases available on the console, but the event lacked a reveal with star power, if you ask me.
Its ‘one more thing’ announcement saw Bethesda’s Todd Howard stop by to reveal that a slew of the studio’s titles are heading to Nintendo Switch 2.
Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, and Indiana Jones and The Great Circle are all heading to Nintendo’s handheld device.

The reveal drew plenty of criticism from Fallout fans who were hoping for a Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas remaster following the conclusion of the second season of Prime Video’s Fallout.
The port has since drawn additional negativity though due to its pricing.
Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition Is Too Expensive on Nintendo Switch, Fans Argue
Fallout 4 originally launched in 2015 and yet, Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition costs a whopping £52.99 on Nintendo Switch 2.
Yes, of course, it’s somewhat crucial to remember here that Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition only launched last year adding a few more bells and whistles compared to the 2015 base release.
It also includes all six DLC expansions as well as over 150 pieces of Creation Club - meaning mod - content.

Still, Fallout fans do not believe that warrants a £52.99 price point in the year 2026.

“Just seen Fallout 4 is on pre-order on the eShop for £53. It's crazy that it's going to cost that much. Can pick it up on Steam for a fiver. How can Bethesda possibly justify that!?!?” asked Reddit user LieLow89.
“Just wait for a sale, if you haven't played this for 11 years, you can wait a little longer. I am sure it will go for 50% off in no time. Not to mention it will need a lot of updates to get polished, it's Bethesda we are talking about,” replied Fluid-Employee-7118.
“Mind you it looked quite downgraded, same presentation where we saw the amazing FF VII Rebirth footage, there is just no excuse worth a damn, hard pass,” stated ApprenhensiveCoat9587.
“Should be $30,” suggested Yungstut209, while grifftaur similarly wrote, “Yeah this really annoys me. It’s a 10 year old game and absurd to charge $60 for in the US. Square charged $40 for Remake and it’s charging $50 for Rebirth. I was looking forward to this. I would have been ok with $40.”
I have to agree with the general consensus here. The pricing does seem a tad steep considering how long this game has been about.
Sure, the idea of experiencing Fallout on-the-go is enticing, but at this price? Not quite enticing enough.
