When Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order launched late last year, it certainly wasn't without its flaws, but it seems to have done well enough for EA to want to continue with other games in the series. This news comes by way of EA's quarterly financial conference call (thanks, Twinfinite) where it seems it was mentioned that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was the first game in "an entirely new franchise".
The comment itself was in amongst the talk of the success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. According to the transcript from the call, the game has had over 10 million players since launch which EA states is "a rare achievement for a first title in an entirely new franchise".

Here's the section referring to Jedi: Fallen Order in full: "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is one of the breakout titles of the last several years. More than 10 million unique players have joined the game since launch, a rare achievement for a first title in an entirely new franchise. It's a meticulously well-crafted game, and it continues to give fans a deeply engaging and original Star Wars experience."
So there it is. But at the time of writing, there's been no official word that a sequel is in the works. We've certainly had hints that something is being planned, as this job listing back in December shows, when developer Respawn was looking for various roles to join the "Star Wars Team".
We've known for a while that EA is planning at least one other Star Wars title, this time developed by Motive Studios. Speaking at the Montreal International Game Summit late last year, Motive VP and General Manager Patrick Klaus confirmed that the studio was working on a "unique Star Wars experience".

"We're doing a lot of work internally in order to identify our DNA, who we are, and what we do," Klaus explained. "We're in the process of communicating that internally and making sure the teams buy into it, that they're fully committed to where we're going and they understand why. And then I think the identity externally gets proven when we release games, and when we release successful games."
So, from the sounds of it, it doesn't look like that particular Star Wars game will be the next in the series that started with Jedi: Fallen Order. But if the wording on the financial report is anything to go by, it will only be a matter of time before we hear news on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2.
