A new Cyberpunk 2077 free downloadable mod has given the game an extra degree of challenge, if you dare.
Cyberpunk 2077 offers several difficulty modes for you to play on, where the higher ones can pose quite an interesting challenge.
Playing on Hard or Very Hard can mean you need to carefully build your character and use all the tools at their disposal.
But sometimes, it’s not just about how much damage you can take, or how tanky the enemies are. It should also be about posing fun, versatile challenges that dramatically shifts the gameplay.

One such free download for the PC version of Cyberpunk 2077 does exactly this, making the game slightly more challenging without necessarily buffing enemies.
CyberDrunk is a simple mod by creator archangel276 which does pretty much exactly what it says on the tin.
The mod makes it so your character has an infinitely drunk status effect when you load the game.
Usually, getting drunk in Cyberpunk 2077 gives you the status effect for about 30 seconds, and reduces your movement speed by 10% and weapon accuracy by 50%.

It also grants a few visual and auditory effects to signal that you’re under the influence.
Archangel276 says the mod is intended for “challenge runs, roleplaying, or just having fun”. I guess if the character you’re playing as is constantly drunk, that’d make this mod pretty useful.
If you want to add a little more challenge to Cyberpunk 2077, there are other mods to check out. Enemies of Night City overhauls the enemies with new animations and stats, while Harder Gunfights alters the timing between hits you can take.
You can also make the game harder for yourself without modding the game by removing the mini-map. I’ve found that it helps you to learn Night City without relying on a map, but it also makes fights harder when you can’t see your surroundings on a small display in the corner of the screen.
