If you’re a fan of sci-fi RPGs such as Starfield and No Man’s Sky, then this upcoming space adventure might be for you.
Let’s be honest, when No Man’s Sky was released in 2016, it was a bit of a sham, to say the least. It was buggy as hell, had worlds that felt meaningless, and it was missing a ton of promised features and more.
However, to the credit of Hello Games, over the years, the development studio not only worked tirelessly to deliver on its promises made before the release of No Man’s Sky, but to this day, it continues to overdeliver adding new locations, quests and features, making it one of the best sci-fi RPGs on the market.
If you were initially put off by the launch of No Man’s Sky, it’s a game now worth your consideration, and perhaps, the same can be said for Bethesda’s Starfield. Granted, Starfield hasn't had the same amount of time to have the level of No Man’s Sky’s improvements, but you get my point.

When Starfield launched in 2023, it was one of the most hyped games of this generation, and when it did release, it received somewhat of a mixed reception. Some loved it, while some hated it.
In our review of Starfield, we said: “The journey you embark on will dazzle you, and I have no doubt that players will be gripped for months, perhaps even years to come. Here is a playground where you can be whoever you want to be.”
Since its release, new features have been added to Starfield, such as land travel via a buggy, improved ship customisation, bounty tracking, performance fixes and more.
That all being said, if you’re done with the likes of Starfield and No Man’s Sky, and are on the lookout for a new space adventure, then Star Ores Inc. might be your cup of tea, developed by BlackBeak Games.
“Take over an abandoned space station and run your own ore mine. Carve your way through the asteroid with your laser, sell ore, and create an automated network of robot helpers to maximise your profit,” reads the synopsis of the game in question.

At the time of writing, Star Ores Inc. does not have a release date, but you can request to play the game early by taking part in its playtest via its Steam page.
Assuming it suffers no delay, Star Ores Inc. is intended to be released towards the end of this year or early 2026. In the meantime, be sure to add it to your Steam wishlist to be notified of its launch.
