A fan-favourite character looks set to return in the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem story DLC, and it could mean something big might finally happen.
Resident Evil Requiem Is One of the Best in the Series
“As a horror game in its own right, Resident Evil Requiem is a very solid nine out of ten, but as a passionate fan of the series, it earns an additional bonus point thanks to the attention to detail and craft that’s gone into every pore of this game,” I said in my review.
Resident Evil Requiem Story DLC Announced
This month, Capcom announced that Resident Evil Requiem story DLC is in the works, with director Koshi Nakanishi teasing us with an artwork image suggesting it would centre around Leon S. Kennedy; whether it’s a prequel or sequel, remains to be seen. It was also revealed that a free content update will arrive this coming May.
What’s the latest Resident Evil Requiem DLC rumour?
According to video game industry insider and leaker of information, Dusk Golem, the new Resident Evil Requiem story DLC will see the return of Ada Wong. “Ada Wong is very likely in the Resident Evil Requiem's DLC,” he tweeted.
Why Is This a Big Deal?

Ever since we were introduced to Leon and Ada in Resident Evil 2 (1998), there has always been chemistry between the two. Sure, there is a lot of teasing from Ada because she knows how to play Leon, but it’s clear that when they met in the RPD, something between them soon began to develop.
Advert
Since that time, fans have longed for Leon and Ada to get together, which continued into Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 6. It’s not a secret that Resident Evil Requiem could be Leon’s last hurrah, with him being in his late 40s to early 50s.
Leon has been through a lot, and he's saved the world so many times already. As for Ada, while she has more of a selfish attitude than Leon, she’s also been known to do the right thing on more than one occasion. Believed to be in her early to mid 50s, just like Leon, she’s earned the right to a quiet life.
Given that we know Leon will be a main focus in the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem story DLC, and that it may feature Ada Wong, with the potential of being their last hurrah, let's do something that fans have wanted for decades.
It’s obviously something that Leon and Ada want, not just the fans. So, Capcom, let them finally get together as a romantic couple and retire from all the bio-weapon shenanigans. They’ve earned it, and the Resident Evil series has earned it.
Resident Evil Requiem is out now on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.
