Capcom has officially announced new DLC for Resident Evil Requiem, with three new exciting announcements for the game.
Almost two weeks after launch, Capcom has seen a massive success with Resident Evil Requiem, selling five million copies in its first week.
It's safe to say that the latest Resi title has been one of Capcom's most impressive games to date, at least in terms of audience and critical reception, and is a fitting entry to the series' 30th anniversary.
Capcom has celebrated the milestone by announcing a new DLC, as well as new features coming in a free update.
Resident Evil Requiem Is Getting Photo Mode, A New Mini Game, And A DLC Expansion
Game director Koshi Nakanishi appeared in a short video, revealing that Resident Evil Requiem will be getting a free update featuring the much-requested Photo Mode, allowing players to take photos and pose screenshots in-game.

Nakanishi also revealed that a free update in May will add a new mini game, though he doesn't allude to what it could be.

My guess would be The Mercenaries, which is a time-based survival game mode which has featured in many entries since the original Resident Evil 3.
Given Resident Evil Requiem features two characters who play very differently from each other, The Mercenaries seems like a perfect fit for the game, and may also add other characters to play as besides Leon and Grace.
Nakanishi ends the video with a small teaser for a story expansion for Resident Evil Requiem, stating that it's now "in development". The DLC will "delve deeper into the world of Requiem".
However, it seems to still be a ways off, with Nakanishi saying "it will take some time, so we ask for your patience".
This doesn't come as a huge surprise, given the positive buzz surrounding Resident Evil Requiem's release. Nearly every Resident Evil game since the fifth has had DLC, and more recent titles have had rather huge expansions added to them.
Resident Evil Village's "Winters Expansion" added Shadows of Rose, a 3-hour campaign that acted as an epilogue to the game. Meanwhile, Resident Evil 7 had two big expansions, End of Zoe and Not A Hero, while Resident Evil 4 remake got the rather massive Separate Ways DLC which let you play as Ada Wong.
Resident Evil Requiem is available now for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
