Skyrim’s hidden treasure room is something you should only seek out if you want a leg up at the start of a fresh playthrough.
Bethesda fills its RPGs with loads of hidden secrets and discoverable treasures, and trusts you to go out and find them for yourself.
Some things in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, such as the Markarth gem boat or the secret chest in Reachwater Rock, are easter eggs that fans may never come across naturally without specifically looking for it.
The secret developer room is another such place in Skyrim that can only be found by using console commands, with players saying using the room “feels like cheating”.

As outlined by YouTube channel Mafia, to access the secret developer room you need to enter a console command on PC by typing “coc qasmoke”. Pressing enter after this will teleport you to the secret developer room. That’s pretty much it.
The hidden room houses pretty much every item and feature in the game. I mean, it kind of has to, as it’s used for testing purposes by Bethesda developers.

This means that in addition to having every item, the room also has crafting stations, various chests, and even cut content. As we were previously horrified to learn too, there also exists a similar room for all the corpses of people you’ve killed during your playthrough.
“This feels like just cheating through all the gameplay but at the same time its awesome being able to access all that cr** whenever,” wrote one user in the YouTube comments section.
These kinds of rooms are pretty common for Bethesda games. They have existed in The Elder Scrolls since Morrowind, and have also appeared in Starfield and Fallout games.
It’s cool that Bethesda leaves these rooms in for players to find on their own whim.

It’s a neat way of getting a glance of how the sausage is made, and something that more developers should hand over to their players.
