A new remastered version of Rockstar Games 2004 smash hit Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is on the horizon, but this one is a bit more interesting than the last remaster of the game we were treated to.
When Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy dropped back in 2021, fans were not best pleased with the remastered versions of some of Rockstar Games’ classic GTA titles.
Bugs, performance and visual issues aside, a lot of fans were clearly expecting a little bit more from the release, especially where Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas’ cut content was concerned.
In case you’re unaware, a lot of stuff was left on the cutting room floor for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. This includes missions, weapons (such as a skateboard, which may or may not have been rideable at some point), vehicles, and… well, one other thing, which we’ll get into shortly.

Well move over GTA VI, because a group of modders has decided to reintroduce said cut content and beta content back into the game, alongside some visual upgrades, in a new project they’re dubbing “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Recall”.
According to the devs, the project has been in the works for almost three years, and is set to drop next month. It will include a bunch of content from the beta builds of the game, including “multiple ways of finishing the storyline missions”.
Very interesting work, and I’m looking forward to seeing all of the stuff they’ve uncovered, but… I can’t be the only one who is curious as to whether or not they’ve re-implimented the cut “Hot Coffee” mini game.
You can obviously just mod the risque mini game back in using other methods, but it was pretty unfinished. Just wondering if they put a lot of extra time into, y’know, finishing it.

I suppose we’ll have to wait until September to see for sure.
