There is no denying that Grand Theft Auto VI is the most anticipated game of all time with Rockstar single-handedly holding the weight of the world on its shoulders when it comes to the game’s 2026 release.

Not only has Grand Theft Auto VI already faced one delay but it has been well over a decade since players got the latest entry in the Grand Theft Auto franchise so it is no surprise that the anticipation is reaching record levels.

However, it seems as though Rockstar already has big plans for life after the launch of GTA VI as a recent comment by the Take-Two CEO confirms that the studio is already working on multiple other projects.

As we know, Take-Two Interactive is the parent company of Rockstar and so when it comes to updates about the studio, its CEO Strauss Zelnick is always ready with an update.

Now in a recent interview with CNBC, Zelnick has confirmed that Rockstar is working on a “lot of other things” outside of GTA VI.

Of course, we can expect the main focus to be on the next Grand Theft Auto instalment until it launches on 26 May 2026 but it seems as though the future is already looking bright for some of its other beloved franchises.

So which game could we see next?

Well, according to the GTA 6 Countdown Twitter account, there are four possibilities: L.A. Noire 2, Red Dead Redemption 3, Bully 2, or a brand-new IP entirely.

As you can expect, gamers were quick to take to the comments to share their own thoughts and it seems as though the mere possibility of new projects being in the works is enough to have built the hype.

“Red Dead III and GTA 6 is all we need,” one comment read.

However, another user was feeling a bit more optimistic.

“Insane imagination but get this,” they started.

“New Midnight Club 2027, Bully 2 in 2028, new L.A. Noire 2029, Red Dead 3 in 2030, new GTA 2032.”

It remains to be seen which project Rockstar will be working on next but with legions of fans behind the studio, whatever it releases next will no doubt receive the same hype as Grand Theft Auto VI.
