PC players have a new quest to enjoy in Fallout 4 thatâs already been dubbed âpeakâ and an âinstant downloadâ, although perhaps that comes as no surprise, as this mod expansion is the work of the Commonwealth Story Expansion Project team.
Better known as CSEP, the mod team has delivered hit after hit over the years, with âCSEP Presents - Under The Starsâ being the latest offering.
Halloween may be over for another year but the frights continue, because âUnder The Starsâ is on the spookier side, set within a disturbing underground facility.
âThe harsh radioactive winds of the glowing sea have uncovered a deep underground facility full of secrets and horrors,â teases the modâs very brief synopsis.
Advert
The team has described the new underground facility where the mod expansion is set as âhugeâ, and itâs here that youâll get to enjoy new puzzles as part of the original questline.
There are also new holotapes to find, a brand new outfit and helmet for your character, plus two new weapons to use.

All holotapes are fully voiced, truly immersing you in the story that the âUnder The Starsâ quest mod tells.
In order to start the mod, youâre going to want to find a bunker which is located âin the lower part of the glowing sea west of the Sentinel Siteâ, according to the modâs creators.
The bunker should have its own map marker where itâll be tagged as âSunken Bunkerâ.
Given the track record of the CSEP team, itâs to be expected that the response to the mod has been nothing but positive.
âInstant download,â said NexusMods user IronMind76.
âItâs so peak,â added Bread4Life.
User Masari953 wrote, âI wanted to say thank you for yet another amazing mod. It was really good and integrates quite well with the game and lore of it. No issues were encountered during the whole quest; everything worked perfectly on my end. Thank you and keep up the good work. Endorsed.â

Xbox is full steam ahead on Fallout, with four game projects in the works
If you do enjoy what âUnder The Starsâ has to offer, I can highly recommend CSEPâs other recent creation, âDetour â, which introduces a brand new town, once again, complete with quests, weapons, and other new items.
Donât forget that Fallout 4 boasts full mod support on consoles. Not every PC mod is available to PlayStation and Xbox users, but thereâs certainly a wide array of offerings via Creations well worth browsing.
This all comes amid a Fallout drought, although at least we now know that several new projects are in the works.
Bethesda is beavering away on Fallout 5 with remasters of Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3 also on the way.
Obsidian Entertainment is also developing a Fallout entry following Xboxâs major restructuring, although no details have yet been provided on precisely what fans can expect.
The remasters will undoubtedly be the first projects to come to light, plus thereâs season three of Prime Videoâs Fallout to look forward to in the near future with a possible late 2027 return expected.
