Bethesda has officially revealed the title and logo for The Elder Scrolls VI.
As revealed in a new video titled "Celebrating 40 Years of Bethesda Game Studios", Bethesda officially revealed the subtitle for The Elder Scrolls VI, which will be called Sentinel.
The teaser, which lasts only a few seconds towards the end of the video, shows a desert location filled with sand. The sand gradually falls away to reveal an Elder Scroll. Underneath that, title of the game is revealed.
The sand implies that the region featured in The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel could be Hammerfell, home of the Redguards and the Alik'r Desert, which features many arid environments as part of its scenery. However, other locations across Tamriel that it could be include Elsweyr, which also features some desert plains.

The teaser also reveals a quote saying: "The scroll offered only a shimmer, a veil thinly lifted to my eyes. A future lost. A victory undone. Sands of time scattered by fate." which is attributed to "Yazar, Moth Priest to High Queen Iradne of Hammerfell (4E 206)."
This implies that the game will take place five years after Skyrim, which was set in 4E 201.

The Elder Scrolls VI is titled Sentinel, and could be set in Hammerfell
Given that Hammerfell was the original rumour for the setting of The Elder Scrolls VI, we're more inclined to believe that this may be the location of the game. The region also includes jungles and woodland mountain ranges, so there should also be a lot of variety in locations featured across Sentinel. This also makes it more likely, since players will want to have a bit of variety in the game compared to the large amount of mountains and snow that appeared in Skyrim.
No other details about The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel are currently known. However, if Bethesda is now releasing a new teaser for the game, it's possible that we could be readying up for a proper reveal soon.
Next week will mark the 15th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, so it's safe to say that Bethesda has taken its time with the highly-anticipated sequel.
Since 2011, the company has released two more singleplayer RPGs, Fallout 4 (2015), and Starfield (2023). It's also released two multiplayer spin-offs of its major franchises, with the release of The Elder Scrolls Online in 2014 and Fallout 76 in 2018.
Following Starfield, Bethesda shifted focus onto The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel, with full-scale development occurring in late 2023. However, the game had been announced many years prior to this with a teaser trailer released at E3 2018, which revealed nothing more than the fact that Bethesda was working on it in pre-production.
