There are so many secret, or hidden away areas, within Skyrim that it could take a player many hundreds of hours of play to see most of them, and even then it’s easy to miss some.

This is where guides, social media, and other players are integral to keeping us playing in the many years since the release of Skyrim.

Skyrim players are still recommending easily missed secrets years after release.

We quite often report on players finding these tucked away areas, and we’ve got another one to showcase, discovered on Reddit.

In a long thread discussing “secret” areas, one fan pointed out a huge dungeon underneath a hut in a forest.

Another user jumped in to detail the dungeon for others, saying, “I think you mean Pinewatch! It’s literally 20 yards from Lakeview Manor if you have Hearthfire. I agree, definitely an awesome dungeon, and it is sprawling.”

If you’ve never been there before, you can easily make your way over to Lakeview Manor, and at first it looks like a simple hut.

However, in the basement, there is a hidden button to the right of a bookshelf that opens a secret passage.

Following this, you can find an enormous dungeon made of long tunnels, joining caverns together.

With a large treasure room, a bandit sanctuary filled with enemies, and lots of items littering the area, it’s well worth seeking out.

Snifflebeard notes, “There is a quest attached to it. One of the Thieves Guild special quests that no one ever does because no one bothers doing deeds for the TG.”

In reply to this, Arquimedas said, “I did that quest like 20 times by now and still enjoying the multiple ways of killing everyone inside.”

As just one of many hidden areas, Skyrim is filled with hundreds of great places to explore, though many of them may be missed on your first playthrough.
