There’s probably at least one player out there who has seen literally everything in Skyrim - someone who has pumped in hundreds of hours and scoured every inch of the map.

For most, it’s unlikely we’ll ever see all the game has to offer, as it’s so expansive, due to Bethesda putting in work and creating a depth rarely seen in games.

Skyrim players are still discovering new things to see

It’s usually through Reddit, and YouTube, that we discover these tucked away places, or items, that we’d otherwise miss.

One such YouTube video points to a super secret island ripe for exploring, but most players would miss on their playthrough.

The location is found during the quest, ‘Rise of the East’ which is started when you steal a log book from the East Empire Company office.

The reason players might miss this is that it’s locked behind a master level lock.

However, embark on this, and you’ll end up on a chain of quests taking you to this island.

Countless players are shocked that they never saw this Skyrim quest or location, and express it in the comments of the video.

“It's mad how I have 1000+hours on Skyrim, but there are places I've never seen, lol.” said one player.

“As someone with thousands of hours in Skyrim this was one quest I hadn't done until RELATIVELY recently, which felt surreal, it made me feel like it was DLC content or something,” echoed another.

Add this one to the list for the next time you set out on a dragon-killing, and it’ll be yet another place to check off the list.

Bethesda really did go to lengths to put in tremendous detail, which is why Skyrim is such an acclaimed and replayed title.

As another YouTube commenter says, “I've been playing this game since its release in 2011 and never knew about this quest...just goes to show how expansive this game is, I love it.”
