Fans eagerly anticipating Season 4 of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call Of Duty: Warzone will likely be aware that it was originally supposed to launch last week, on June 3rd. However, Activision made to the decision to push back the launch of the new season in light the Black Lives Matter protests that were held across America following the death of George Floyd.

Both Activision and developer Infinity Ward agreed that it wasn't the right time to be focusing on video games, and that we should instead commit to discussions about equality and justice. Infinity Ward also added a Black Lives Matter message to in-game loading screens, and assured fans we'd see Season 4 at a "later date".

Now it seems that this later date has been discovered in a new datamine. As spotted by Geeky Pastimes on Twitter (via Multiplayer First), in-game files show that Infinity Ward has changed the Season 3 Challenges end date from June 2nd to June 10th. This means a new set of challenges, which means Season 4 will likely be arriving on June 10th (or very possibly June 11th).

Season 4 is clearly ready to drop, and its delay was a matter of giving the spotlight to a worthy and decent cause. This means the idea of it dropping this week wouldn't be entirely out of the blue, but we'll have to wait and see what Activision and Infinity Ward have to say. Protests are still ongoing, after all.

Season 4 does arrive this week, then we can probably expect confirmation tomorrow (June 9th) ahead of the content drop. The last teaser trailer for the new season suggested that fan-favourite Captain Price would be returning to the battle as a playable operator.

Other eagle-eyed fans have also noticed that a promotional image of Season 4 teased the return of Scrapyard, a popular map that first appeared in Modern Warfare 2. We shouldn't have long to wait before we learn exactly what other exciting new bits of content Season 4 has in store for us.
