The Elder Scrolls 6 leaked trailer has fans losing their minds

The hype is worth the wait

It’s tough being a fan of The Elder Scrolls - nothing was announced at Summer Game Fest this year, despite it being seven years since The Elder Scrolls VI was first announced.

All anyone wants is a new trailer, I’m sure at this point we’d happily take the name of the game as a consolation prize, but Bethesda is keeping its lips shut tight.

We do, however, have a nugget of information, which emerges from an industry leaker, noting that Bethesda has a trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI put together and is showing it to Microsoft employees.

This comes from the Xbox Two podcast, and has caused a flurry of activity within the fanbase as many speculate when we’ll get a chance to see it for ourselves.

Over on Reddit, the fans are getting into it and the hype is starting to build.

Hilariously, one user comments, “They're just showing the 2017 trailer and saying ‘hey guys remember this?’”

Another Redditor who claims to be a game developer gave out some more information on what this trailer would represent.

They comment, “It's actually pretty normal to cut together a 'trailer' to show our progress to the higher ups. We'd normally have to get one for the EOY (End of Year) investor call.”

It’s a pretty common practice, and it shows higher-ups how the game will look, as well as help them plan marketing strategy.

Of course, the fans want it now, with one saying, “Todd, please… I'm starving.”

It could be copium, but another fan points out, “This makes me believe that we might get something at The Game Awards this year with a late 2026 release date. 11-11-26 would mark exactly 15 years since Skyrim released.”

“Don’t give me hope…” said another Redditor, and we’re right there with them, desperate to see just a sliver of footage.
