Once upon a time, Henry Cavill had a meeting with Marvel Studios about stepping into the MCU for a recurring role, and while the actor did play a variant of Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine, that’s not the perfect role for him.
It could be argued that Cavill already has a death grip on nerdy adaptations, seeing as he’s played Superman, Geralt of Rivia, and will soon be tackling the Warhammer 40K universe, but Marvel fans have just the role for him.
We look to Reddit for the opinion, which is given by a user called ugbaz, who said, “I am a big fan of the casting of Cavill as Capt. Britain.”
I can see this; he has the build, he’s British, and one would assume he’d enjoy the chance to represent the overlooked character in the MCU.

“I've been saying for years that Henry Cavill should be Brian Braddock,” said taicrunch in agreement.
This leads onto who would star in the hypothetical film with him, as the character Betsy, and we circle back to the original commenter, who believes the right actress has already starred opposite Cavill.
“I would love to see Millie Bobby Brown as Betsy Braddock. The two actors had great chemistry in Enola Holmes,” continued ugbaz.
Whether Cavill would want to take on another potentially long project is another story, then there’s the fact that Captain Britain likely wouldn’t be much of a draw for audiences.

This would be a great cameo, however, especially if there’s ever a chance to have him meet Captain America, whether that’s Chris Evans’ version, or Anthony Mackie.
If ever they’re going to pursue this, the time would be now, before Doctor Doom closes the multiverse in the next two Avengers films.
The fans have spoken, now it’s up to Marvel and Cavill to hash out the details.
