Keanu Reeves Has Already Played ‘Cyberpunk 2077’, And He Loves It

Ever since that fateful E3 when Keanu Reeves came on stage and told us all we're breathtaking, the hype for Cyberpunk 2077 has been tied to the actor. The man, the myth, the legend is appearing in CD Projekt Red's next title as a main character by the name of Johnny Silverhand - who's a tech-ghost of sorts.

Last week we reported on some details revealed by a recent CDPR earnings call, which has since been translated fully from Polish into English. And Keanu Reeves, being the pervasive force he is, appears in these notes.

As first reported by DualShockers, Adam Kiciński, one of the joint CEOs of CD Projekt Red, was asked some questions when talking about the future of CDPR - including someone asking if Reeves had even played the game. He answers: "Yes. Yes. He played the game. But as far as I know, haven't [sic] finished yet. So - but definitely, he played the game and he loves it."

Well that's a good sign at least, isn't it? The Hollywood film star ought to like the game he's featuring in, so it's comforting that Reeves is enjoying the word of Cyberpunk 2077, although we'd forgive his bias given his own motorcycles are in it. We can't wait to be told to wake up by Reeves - oh, sorry, we mean Johnny Silverhand when the game is released. The same earnings call also revealed that we won't find out more about the DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 until the base game is released - a reversal of the way things were done with CDPR's last big game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Although you might not be able to play Cyberpunk 2077 yet, there is already VR porn of the game which is, um, interesting at the very least. Despite the delays, investors are being assured that the release date of Cyberpunk 2077 is firmly set for December 10th on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Stadia (next-gen and multiplayer releases, later). We're looking forward to it.
