GTA 6 Online mode leak wows fans: ‘they’re set for years’

This will be huge for GTA fans

Over recent months we’ve had many different GTA VI leaks spill from within Rockstar Games, and along with official trailers and the confirmed launch date of 26 May 2026, there’s a lot to be excited about.

There is one mode, that has been revealed by leakers, that could revolutionise GTA Online when it emerges after the GTA VI launch.

It has been reported that Rockstar Games is working on implementing a “metaverse” style experience closely resembling what Roblox and Fortnite have made popular in recent years.

This means that fans and community creators would be able to create their own mini-games within GTA Online, whether that be racing games, obstacle course races, or hide and seek adventures.

Hell, maybe there will even be a version of Roblox’ Grow a Garden to pull in millions of players.

The possibilities are endless, and this has fans excited about the evolution of GTA’s online presence.

Over on Reddit, one fan said, “Depending on the level of tools they give to the creators, I can definitely see a long time healthy community of custom content for years to come after the release.”

“Take-Two gonna make so much money for the next 10+ years from GTA Online,” replied another Redditor.

Whether this sounds interesting to you or not, it’s going to be huge for GTA, because now any idea that a modder has can be brought to life with official tools, and there should be no compatibility issues.

Sure, there will likely be some questionable content appear, but we could see some great spin-off experiences emerge from user-generated ideas.

We have to remember, some of the biggest games in world have started with mods, or side projects developed within another game’s engine.

There could be some great mini-games or entirely new genres spin out of this opportunity.
