An upcoming P.T.-inspired game has just got a free demo, and all my Lisa-fuelled nightmares have come flooding back.
P.T. was a horror smash hit when it first came out in 2014. For what basically amounts to a free teaser, it’s absolutely wild that it still remains one of the best short horror experiences all these years later.
Sadly though, it was removed from sale less than a year later following the cancellation of Silent Hills. What’s worse is that it was exclusive to PS4 and never came to PC or Xbox, so it’s also been difficult to preserve.
That hasn’t stopped horror game developers from being inspired by the game for new projects though, as this new upcoming release by Alien Big Cat proves.

Deadcam is a horror game set inside a rural, abandoned house where you play as a crew member for a paranormal television show.
Naturally, things don’t go according to plan, and you become sealed shut inside this house as something apparently goes wrong with one of your fellow crewmates.
Now you’ve got to survive against whatever paranormal entity is possessing your crew. The twist? You have access to the headcam, giving you a live feed of its whereabouts.

Over the course of the game, you’ll have to keep quiet and move between the shadows to avoid being caught. You can use the livecam feed to judge its movements, and its face will show you how it reacts to any noise it can hear.
If you’d like to try the game out for yourself, a free demo is now available to play on Steam. Simply head to the store page and hit download on the green section that says “Download Deadcam Demo”.
As for when to expect the full game, nothing has been announced yet.
Still, keep an eye on the developer’s social feeds and the game store page for any updates on when a release date gets announced.
