Steam gamers are enjoying a brand new horror game inspired by the likes of P.T. and Silent Hill.
Despite not being a fully-realised game, P.T. was a huge phenomenon when it first released on PS4 back in 2014.
From the minds of Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro, it was the playable teaser for Silent Hills, what was originally going to be Kojima’s follow-up game after completing work on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
However, issues arose which led to Kojima leaving Konami and Silent Hills being cancelled. And despite the game not being playable for over a decade, it still lives on in our hearts and has inspired countless new horror games.

One of these games is Luto, a psychological horror game developed by Broken Bird Games, and heavily influenced by P.T. and Silent Hill.
It’s a game about death, and has an associated content warning for depictions of anxiety, depression, and suicide. If you plan on checking it out, be sure to do it at your own discretion.
The game appears to be roughly between five and 10 hours long, if the average Steam review playtime is any consideration.
“This is definitely one of the better horror games I've ever played and by this point I've played hundreds if not thousands of them,” reads one review on the Steam page.

“This was a truly beautiful game. I just finished it 10 minutes ago and I'm still tearing up. Damn. Well done, devs,” another review reads.
“This game is well above average, easily holding its own against titles like Visage or MADiSON,” a third review reads. “It sits somewhere between those and Still Wakes the Deep in terms of fear intensity. For psychological horror, it's truly exceptional.”
Luto is out now on Steam, and it costs £16.75. Broken Bird Games is also running a 10% launch discount until 4 August.
