Silent Hill Gamers Won’t Want To Miss This Terrifying 2026 Horror

Which soul belongs to the host?

Day of the Devs: The Game Awards Edition has drawn to a close, bringing with it a world premiere reveal of thrilling new horror Un:Me.

Developed by Historia and set to be published by Shueisha Games, Un:Me is most definitely a game that’ll appeal to Silent Hill f players.

It’s built around one of the coolest concepts I’ve seen in a long time.

You assume the role of a girl who just so happens to be harbouring multiple human souls, trapped within a labyrinth created by her own mind.

Each soul is unique and thus will have its own specific fears, and which soul is in control of our protagonist will change throughout Un:Me.

There are four souls within the protagonist in total and they will change involuntarily.

As such, the player will have no clue what kind of spooks are awaiting them in each new segment of the game.

There’s a wider goal though, beyond simply escaping this labyrinth of the mind.

Each of the four souls within our protagonist claims this physical body as their own, so it’s up to the player to determine which of the four souls truly belongs there.

Eventually, you’ll have to eliminate the souls you personally think have invaded.

The various souls will attempt to talk you out of it. Could they be lying? Might you be eliminating the ‘real’ soul?

You Don’t Have Too Long to Wait

Whilst Un:Me doesn’t have a concrete release date, we do know that it’s targeting a 2026 launch.

Unfortunately, for now, it’s only confirmed by a PC release via Steam, so there’s no word on whether we’ll eventually see it land on consoles.

To reiterate, it’s a single-player game and at launch, will be available in Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese; Un:Me does not require an online connection to play.

It really does sound like a brilliant concept, so I recommend you wishlist the game if you want to be kept up to date on its progress next year.

I also want to highlight how you can help Day of the Devs.

Day of the Devs is a non-profit organisation dedicated to highlighting the very best in indie gaming.

Those involved in putting on the showcase do so on a voluntary basis, relying on sponsors and donors, so please do consider supporting their efforts.
