Steam has just received a bunch of new games to check out this weekend, and they’re completely free.

We cover free games a lot here at GAMINGbible, and one of the benefits of Steam is that indie developers are releasing their own on the platform all the time.

The free games on offer this weekend range from simulators to puzzle games, first-person shooters to tower defenses, and there’s a lot to enjoy if you’re a gamer who strives to play a variety of different genres.

New Free Steam Games For 15 March

Let’s have a gander at what’s new on the Steam store.

  • Deckbuilder Fantasy, a roguelike deckbuilder and card battler where you build up a powerful deck and defeat formidable foes, and the map is different each time. A decent free alternative to Slay the Spire 2.
  • Guinea Pig Temple, a cute adventure game where you play as a guinea pig and have to search for others of your kind, bringing them to the temple to rest.
  • Ferret Quest, a fast-paced platformer. Set across a series of challenging levels, you play as a brave little ferret who hurls acorns at masked woodland foes.
  • Pest'Off, a first-person shooter where you’re tasked with killing aggressive mutants inside urban infestation zones.
  • Cradle of the Rift, a roguelike action-adventure where you play as a fairy flying through a forest, slashing and blasting your way through hordes of monsters to reach home.
  • Smile More, a short medical simulation horror game where you perform tasks and operations on sedated patients to fix their defects before submitting your files to the Ministry of Happiness & Peace.
  • 4Spicchi, a first-person horror shooter that looks like Borderlands meets Stranger Things. Defeat food-aliens attacking a pizzeria using a weapon capable of turning pizza into bullets.
  • Bird Watching Simulator, an avid bird watching simulator with realistic watching mechanics. Slow-paced, but relaxing for those who enjoy that kind of experience.
  • Grove, a cosy tower defense game where you nurture a small forest under siege by lumberjacks. Plant and upgrade trees with unique abilities to protect your grove, and customise the forest to enhance the atmosphere.
  • Shrapnel, a 4v4 first-person shooter where you drop into an area and need to secure a valuable resource before the other team does. Falling behind? Raid the enemy’s base and steal all their supplies to give you an advantage.
