MCU Phase 6 officially confirms major time jump

Great Scott!

Marvel fans can expect a major time jump in MCU Phase 6, travelling back in time further than ever with its newly revealed series.

Whether it’s set in the present day, far into the future or long into the past, Marvel fans have been on some epic adventures over the years in live-action, animation or traditional comic book form.

That’s one of the many wonderful things about comic book stories; the multiverse is its oyster. Just about everything and anywhere is possible, and the MCU is no exception.

As brought to our attention by The Direct, the MCU is going to travel so far back in time that it easily puts Marty McFly and Dr. Emmett Brown to shame.

The furthest the MCU has travelled back in time was in the box office flop, Eternals, which ventured into 13,800,000,00 B.C., followed by 12,800,000,000 B.C. in the fantastic Guardians of the Galaxy.

However, when we talk about the MCU series on Disney Plus, the upcoming animation, Eyes of Wakanda, will travel the furthest back in time for the streaming platform to the year 1260 B.C.

“Marvel Animation’s new action-adventure series 'Eyes of Wakanda' follows the adventures of brave Wakandan War Dogs of the secret organisation the Hatut Zeraze, throughout history,” reads its synopsis.

“In this globe-trotting adventure, they must carry out dangerous missions to retrieve Vibranium artefacts lost to the world.”

Judging by its trailer, it looks like Eyes of Wakanda could be a lot of fun. When it comes to animated Marvel series, Disney Plus has knocked it out of the park with the likes of X-Men ‘97, What…If?, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, to name a few.

Eyes of Wakanda will premiere on Disney Plus on 27 August 2025 and will consist of four episodes, running for about 30 minutes each, give or take.
