First announced back in 2023, Eyes of Wakanda is an animated television show centered on, you guessed it, Wakanda and at long last, it has finally released its first trailer.

Serving as a prequel to the much-loved Black Panther, Eyes of Wakanda was first revealed back in December 2023 and with no news since then, many fans suspected that it would never actually come to fruition.

However, all of their worries were in vain as Disney+ has just dropped its first trailer and it is safe to say that it already looks pretty epic.

Not only that but we now know that Eyes of Wakanda will hit the streaming service on 27 August.

The trailer was posted on social media just a few moments ago and gives us just 30 seconds of what we can expect from the upcoming Marvel animated television show.

We also know that Eyes of Wakanda will feature executive producer Ryan Coogler is of course best known for his work on Black Panther as well as Sinners most recently.

As a result, this new project set in the Wakanda universe is in good hands.

“Wakanda is a kingdom of many secrets,” is all that the trailer reveals but it has already got fans excited to return to the beloved world of the Black Panther movie series, albeit now in an animated episodic form.

Created by Todd Harris, Eyes of Wakanda follows the Hatut Zaraze, a group of Wakandan warriors who carry out dangerous missions throughout history.

The series stars some big name actors such as Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Patricia Belcher, Steve Toussaint and many more despite the first season consisting of just four episodes.

“It looks really interesting,” one user commented after the trailer was posted on the ScreenTime Twitter account.

“This already looks better than Ironheart, can't wait!” One back-handed compliment read.

It seems as though fans can’t wait and that is just as well as Eyes of Wakanda streams on Disney+ on 27 August so don’t miss out on another Wakandan adventure.
