“Do you want Disney to make a Darth Vader series?” is a question that was recently posed on Reddit.
I’ll answer that one, no.
Listen, I adore Hayden Christensen like every other Star Wars fan, but I do genuinely feel that Darth Vader’s story has been told.
If you really want more of the character, there are plenty of canon comic books out there, with Star Wars: Legacy of Vader being one of the most recent runs to arrive.

It’s a great series and one I highly recommend you pick up, but you’ll soon begin to see that when you start filling in the gaps in Vader’s timeline, there’s nothing really worthy of a full on prequel film or series.
If you ask me, there are plenty of other stories to be told, especially when it comes to the Sith.
The Acolyte, for example, could’ve finally told us the tale of Darth Plagueis the wise if a bunch of fools hadn’t led a hate campaign against what was an enjoyable show.
And there was the first ever Sith Lord, Ajunta Pall. I believe, for now, he’s considered a Legends character and therefore isn’t canon, but how cool would it be for the Star Wars canon to explore the first Jedi to ever fall to the Dark Side, at a time when no one even knew what the Dark Side really was?

That’s something that changed the course of Star Wars history; that’s the story I want.
And plenty are with me in yearning for something new, but there are still others who feel Vader’s tale has a little life left in it yet.
“In my opinion, Darth Vader works better as a villain with limited screen time, which makes him more intimidating and impactful when we do see him on screen. It’s the same reason that horror movies usually don’t follow the perspective of the slasher, ghost or monster,” wrote Reddit user Landwarrior5150.
“That's what the first six movies were, and The Clone Wars. How about no,” added Mysterious_Box1203, echoed by planetcaravan who said, “Let The Skywalker Saga f**king die already.”

“Realistically, it would just be brutal action of Vader hunting down Jedi and doing other stuff, don't forget he'll be aurafarming the entire show,” commented No-Firefighter9785, coming up with a potential concept.
Honestly, as much as I don’t want a Vader series, it’s exactly the route I could see Lucasfulm going down.
I hope the future of Star wars isn’t purely fan service driven, especially as the majority of fans don’t even want this.
