The latest GTA 6 trailer has just made it past an important milestone, much to the delight of fans.
Back in May, Rockstar Games released the much sought after second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, and it was a thing of beauty.
The trailer gave us yet another look at the game’s dual protagonists, Jason and Lucia, as well as showing off a bit of gameplay.
As one of the most highly anticipated games of all time, naturally there’s a lot of hype surrounding the game, and plenty of people have likely been looping the trailer on repeat.

And just this week, Trailer 2 has now hit a rather important milestone, because the number of views the video has on YouTube has surpassed the views on the original Grand Theft Auto 5 trailer.
As of writing, GTA 5’s first trailer has 123,030,229 views, while GTA 6 Trailer 2 has now overtaken it with 123,078,200.
Meanwhile, the first trailer for GTA 6 has over double those numbers, with a total of 263 million views. I promise, those all aren’t my clicks.

“It’s really the most anticipated game of all time,” wrote one astonished fan on the GTA 6 Reddit page.
“What took 5 150+ months 6 did in 1 month,” wrote another fan.
“Rockstar always impresses me by showing how many no lifers there are out there,” quipped another fan. Consider some of you told.
Rockstar is expected to release GTA 6 on 26th May, 2026. Until then, we may get another trailer or two, and hopefully some more gameplay details.

It’ll be interesting to see how the game shapes up in comparison to its early trailers, similar to how GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 differed between early promotional material and the final product.
