'Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare' Update Adds Classic 'Black Ops' Mode

'Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare' Update Adds Classic 'Black Ops' Mode

Infinity Ward has released the latest playlist update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on all platforms, and it revives a classic mode from one of the most popular Call Of Duty entries.

One In The Chamber first appeared in Call Of Duty: Black Ops back in 2010. It was an incredibly intense free-for-all in which six players were thrown into a match with a single round of insta-kill ammunition. It's appeared in only a handful of games since, so it's really awesome to see it back in the mix after all these years.

In Modern Warfare, Activision describes One In The chamber as a "fun party mode," which is an unusual way of describing a fight to the death.

"One In The Chamber is a Free-For-All mode where each player begins the match with a single bullet in a randomly select weapon," Activision wrote. "You can earn another bullet by getting a kill, and every weapon is a one-shot kill. You only have three lives and the highest score wins, so check your aim, then fire."

Modern Warfare's latest update also introduces a new Gunfight mode that pits two teams of three snipers against each other for rapid-fire rounds in tight spaces. Players can also get stuck into Gunfight Blueprints and the large-scale Realism Ground War, both of which sound pretty awesome.

In other Call Of Duty news, it sounds like big changes are coming to Call Of Duty: Warzone. According to recent reports, the Season 4 update smuggled in some potential changes to the Verdansk map that have yet to be fully introduced. Among them, it seems that the game's massive - and currently useless - Stadium area will finally become accessible for players.

There's also talk of an underground transit system, and reports of something large moving underneath the ice near the Dam. I have absolutely no idea what Infinity Ward is building to, but I very much like the idea of new underground areas to keep the map feeling fresh. Hopefully we'll find out more about these emerging mysteries as Season 4 of Warzone trundles on.
