The Star Wars universe is full to the brim with characters of all shapes, sizes, races and creeds which makes keeping up with the extensive cast lists pretty hard.

That is not to mention the fact that the Star Wars franchise spans across movies, television shows, books, and video games and it is the latter that we are going to be talking about today.

More specifically, the Star Wars Jedi video game series.

Currently consisting of two entries, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the series by Respawn Entertainment follows the adventures of Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis who becomes a target of the Galactic Empire.

Whilst being hunted across the galaxy, Cal must reconcile with his troubled past as well as find a way to completely rebuild the Jedi Order.

Both titles were a hit and have made Cal Kestis a beloved character in the Star Wars universe.

However, it just begs the question as to whether fans would like to see Cal ever appear in a live-action adaptation.

Well, this discussion recently took place over on r/StarWars when one user asked, “Should Cal Kestis appear in a live-action or stay in games/novels?”

With way over 100 comments in less than 24-hours, it is safe to say that fans are passionate about this possibility and were quick to share their thoughts.

User TheOutlawTavern shared, “The actor is good enough that I think it would be good to see him.

He, of course, would have to be nerfed though.”

“Cam [Monaghan] has said many times publicly that he wants to play Cal in live-action and Disney has mostly been coy about it,” another user revealed.

“The Ashoka series or the movie that’s planned would be a good spot for him.”

However, user rgregan thinks that Cal will stick to the gaming sphere.

“They designed the characters to be easily transferred with the same actors, however, the cast and creators seem to think they should just commit to the games,” they shared.

“They envisioned a trilogy so I'm hoping it will end satisfyingly enough that it will make sense for him not to come back.”

It has been reported that the third and final instalment in the Star Wars Jedi universe is in the works but without an official announcement, it remains to be seen what the future will be like for Cal Kestis.
