Star Wars fans who were a little unsure of what’s exactly going on with the Jedi series can rest easy, as Lucasfilm has reconfirmed that new Cal Kestis adventures are coming.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor are two of the best Star Wars games released in the past decade, and it’s easy to see why.
When you boil it down to its basics, it’s nice to be able to enjoy a game that knows it’s a game, and the Jedi series doesn’t shy away from that.
Since wrapping up the sequel in 2023, though, Respawn Entertainment has been pretty tight-lipped regarding the future of the series.

A sequel was confirmed in September of that year, and production was in full swing a year later, but news regarding the game has been pretty minimal since then.
Lucasfilm has finally spoken about the Jedi series, reconfirming that the third game is still on its way and reassuring fans who are waiting patiently for the final entry in the trilogy.
Speaking to GameRant, one representative from Disney said, “Never say never. We've got his lightsaber in the park. We've got more Cal stories coming.”
The keyword to take from this is “stories”. Plural.
In addition to Jedi 3, this could mean that Cal is due to pop up in other Star Wars-related media.

Fans have lobbied for Cal to make a live-action appearance ever since his debut in Fallen Order.
Considering he’s played by actor Cameron Monaghan, who provides both the voice and likeness for the character and is an experienced film and television actor, it’d make sense that Cal could one day appear in live-action. The question is, where?
He wouldn’t be right for shows like The Mandalorian or Maul – Shadow Lord. However, something more Jedi-centric, like Ahsoka could be more suited to a Cal appearance.
Cal Kestis’ first appearance was in 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which was set five years after Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and depicted the Jedi being hunted by the Galactic Empire.
This was followed by Star Wars Jedi: Survivor in 2023, set five years later as Cal and his allies continue the fight against the Empire while also searching for a haven for those who are oppressed.
A tie-in novel for Survivor, written by Sam Maggs, was released that same year, titled Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars, which bridged the five-year gap between both games.
