'Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare' Cool Glitch Shows Game In Third-Person

It's really not bad.

Ever wondered how Call of Duty: Modern Warfare would play as a third-person shooter? No, I hadn't either... but Reddit user Tkade14 accidentally found out when playing the PS4-exclusive's survival mode, and he posted the resulting video to the Modern Warfare subreddit this weekend (thanks, PC Gamer).

You can check out the third-person action in the video below (or go here for a direct link). If you're wondering what kind of trickery produced this, it was apparently a glitch that manifested randomly after the player was revived. "For those curious what happened, it goes into 3rd person when your getting revived... Once I was revived, it didn't go back to 1st person."

Considering it's a glitch and absolutely not intentional, it really doesn't look bad at all - and many Redditors seem to agree. "I...i dont hate it..?" stated one user, while another took it a step further, commenting: "Love this. They should make it a mode. Only knives allowed." I doubt the video's poster Tkade14 would argue with that. "Frankly, I would play wayyy more survival if I could run around like this all the time haha," he says in one of his later replies.

And while we're on the subject of first-person games being played in a third-person viewpoint, we recently reported on a DOOM Eternal mod that lets you do just that. Granted, it doesn't look quite as smooth as the video above and it does require you to tinker with internal game files, which is clearly always a risk, but the video is certainly worth a look just to see the game from a different perspective.

In other Call of Duty news, Infinity Ward has confirmed that Duos is definitely coming to the free-to-play Warzone, though no specific date has been given. Raven Software's creative director, Amos Hodge, recently had this to say in an interview: "[...] we're listening to the community - if you noticed, we launched with just Trios, then we added Solos, then we added Quads, so we will get to a place where we add Duos in the future. There's just no exact time I can give you for now, but Duos is coming."

Meanwhile, in the same interview, Hodge hinted at some of the things to come in Season 4 of Warzone. "Players have already discovered that there is a whole other part of Verdansk they haven't seen yet," he teased. "They have found clues, and that there is more than meets the eye in this city. Season 4 will unravel some of those mysteries and unlock some of them for our players."

There's no news yet on when Season 4 is expected to launch but it's widely thought to be around early June.
