Fans are enjoying the idea of casting any potential TV series adaptation of Red Dead Redemption, which is something that isn’t on the way, as far as we know, but it really should be.
In this current spate of adaptations of bestselling games, it’s a bit shocking that none of Rockstar Games’ titles have been tapped for a TV show; they all carry the required amount of drama and brilliant characters.
I’d argue we don’t need one, which is pretty much my reaction to most adaptation news, but I’m sure plenty of Red Dead Redemption fans would be excited to watch the events play out in a cinematic TV show.
So, over on Reddit, there are some pretty solid choices for which actors should step into this cowboy adventure.

One leading choice, is Jefferey Dean Morgan as Dutch, which is suggested by 146zigzag.
Another Redditor knows what they don’t want, saying, “You immediately get an upvote for NOT fancasting Norman Reedus as John, thank you for your service.”
Though in reply to this, another fan doesn’t take Reedus off the table completely, making a choice of their own: “Norman as Colm is kinda genius, actually.”
There are a few decent suggestions for who should play Arthur, with one fan saying, “After years of contemplation, I really can't see anyone else doing justice to Arthur's character like Jensen Ackles.”

Another player jumps in to put forward “Anson Mount".
User ultragarrison backs up the option that keeps coming up, they said, “Jensen is perfect for Arthur.”
If a show ever does develop, you have to wonder if they’d opt to go for more unknown actors, or whether they’d channel star power.
Will this be something Rockstar Games would pursue? Who would win the casting vote?

It's all hypothetical for now but you cannot deny that this series feels inevitable. Come on HBO, I know you want to do it.
