You may want to rethink your best Pokémon rankings, because a huge poll has now confirmed it for realsies.
It’s that age-old debate, isn’t it? Deciding which ‘Mon is the best ‘Mon. Do you go for a classic like Pikachu, a powerhouse like Mewtwo, or even a rogue choice like Salamence?
My favourite Pokémon is Meowth. I have no reasoning behind this aside from the fact I love cats.
But if you’re wondering who the most popular Pokémon of all time is, a huge poll has collected the opinions of fans everywhere to determine which pocket monster players adore the most.

YouTuber Thomas Game Docs took 1.6 million votes from fans by creating a voting system where she asked users to rank their preferred Pokémon.
The voting system would give users two Pokémon to choose between, asking them to choose the one they prefer over the other.
Coming in first place is Umbreon, with an astounding 79.5% of votes. That means four in every five votes, users would select Umbreon as the favourite.

Mimikyu, Sylveon, and Eevee come in second, third and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, fifth place is taken by Vaporeon.
To my surprise, Pikachu came in at 65th. I wasn’t expecting it to be in the top five or top 10, but that seems quite low for who is effectively the mascot of the series.
Meanwhile, the bottom five of the rankings includes Rellor, Bruxish, Binacle, Munkidori, and Smoochum. Yeah, that sounds about right.
Rellor only has 18.8% of the vote, meaning less than one in five people voted for it when it appeared in the poll.

The full rankings can be found on Thomas Game Docs’ website, which lists all 1025 Pokémon and where they stand on the list.
She has done a similar poll in the past with Animal Crossing, where users were asked to rank all the villagers that appear in the game.
According to that poll, the most popular Animal Crossing villager is Rosie, with 80.8% of the vote.
