Elden Ring DLC nears release as details emerge online

It is almost time to return to the Lands Between

Elden Ring’s upcoming DLC may be just around the corner as details emerge online.

Announced back in April, Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition will bring FromSoftware’s magnum opus to the Nintendo Switch 2.

Consisting of the base game, Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, and even some extra features, this edition is expected to launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 but fear not, the version's new content will also arrive across other platforms.

We may not have an official release date for the Tarnished Edition but according to a new Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) rating, it may arrive a lot sooner than we thought.

The listing for Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition has appeared online (courtesy of My Nintendo News) and if you are unsure what that means for a game, getting an ESRB rating usually means that a title is getting close to its launch.

The listing details the Nintendo Switch 2 version and nothing about other platforms, but the extra content is believed to launch simultaneously across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.

So what will Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition include?

Alongside the aforementioned features, it will also include two new classes to pick from as well as extra armour sets, extra weapons and even a new look for Torrent.

With Elden Ring already being considered as one of the best video games of all time, there is no doubt that these extra editions will make it even better.

It is also the perfect way to kick off the life of the Nintendo Switch 2. What better way to celebrate its release than diving into Elden Ring and Shadow of the Erdtree?

Although there may be a delay between the game’s Nintendo Switch 2 release and its Steam version, we at least know that it will be on the way shortly after. According to FromSoftware "the additional content in the title will also be available on other platforms".

Now all there is left to do is wait for the big release of Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition.
