Star Wars fans have confirmed who Grogu’s real father is, and to be honest, we’ve known the answer all along.

Following in the footsteps of the other iconic green fellow of the Star Wars universe, Yoda, ever since Grogu was introduced in the Disney Plus series The Mandalorian, he’s been shrouded in mystery.

The origins of Yoda have been speculated for many years, but the chances are that only the creator of Star Wars, George Lucas, truly knows the answers to all our burning questions.

Despite that, fans still continue to ask who the father of Grogu is, a question Reddit users were keen to answer. But in truth, do we really want to know who his biological parents are?

“Should they look for Grogu's parents in season four?” asked Redditor I_Ask_Random_Things. “I know Din adopts Grogu, but the armourer says something about Grogu's parents being far away and if they're still alive.”

“Does she know Grogu's species and where they can be found? Should Din go on a quest next season to meet with Din Grogu's parents?” they continued.

“No. Din is his parent,” replied No-Knee9457, getting straight to the point.

“He's already living with his daddy,” declared JayMmhkay.

“I thought that’s where they were gonna go with it, but then I realised that was her saying don’t ever waste your time, they’re probably not even alive,” explained Immediate_Theory4738. “Leaving Din with only one choice in his heart.”

“I think it's better to keep the Yoda spices a secret. Besides, his dad is right there,” suggested Adventurous_Froyo753.

Despite having three seasons on Disney Plus, The Mandalorian will not be returning for a fourth season.

Instead, the adventures of Din Djarin and Din Grogu will be told in the movie The Mandalorian and Grogu, currently scheduled to be released in cinemas on 22 May 2026.

I quite agree that Din is Grogu's father but who knows? Perhaps the film will unravel a few extra secrets.
