Star Wars fans finally have some answers about the Knights Of Ren, an awesome group of combatants from Disney’s sequel trilogy that got basically no screen time.
Say what you will about Disney’s Star Wars films but Kylo Ren was an excellent character, whose story was gradually ruined as each film changed hands. It could be worse though, Kylo could have suffered the same fate as Finn.
There’s a good chance that’ll happen now that Adam Driver and a number of others have leaked the planned Kylo Ren spin-off film, which Disney axed but fans want to see made.
Part of Kylo’s character was his entourage of warriors called the Knights Of Ren, who were seen briefly in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens and later returned for a more prominent role in Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker.

When Kylo turns back to the light he fights his former warriors on Exegol but apart from that confrontation they were hardly utilised in the story.
Now fans have been told where this mysterious order comes from, and it’s linked to Star Wars: The Acolyte of all things.

Years In The Making
According to the newly released art book for Star Wars: The Acolyte, Quimir, also known as The Stranger, would go on to become the very first Knight Of Ren, founding the mysterious order.

In the book Leslye Headland says: “It was in the design of the character, as well as knowing that we were going to introduce Darth Plagueis, who has to end up with Palpatine as his apprentice.
“Following the Rule of Two - a precept that limited the Sith to just two at any given time, a master and an apprentice - one way to keep it going it is if the Stranger is the first Knight of Ren, part of a Sith-adjacent cult that we know eventually survives."
This explains why Kylo Ren’s theme was used briefly during the TV series, and is a cool connection from the past to the future.
Unfortunately as we all know Star Wars: The Acolyte is dead in the water and despite an outcry from fans to bring it back it’s becoming abundantly clear that we’re not getting that second season.

It’s a shame because it was setting up some pretty interesting stuff, such as the Knights Of Ren, Darth Plagueis and who that mysterious Yoda character was at the end of the series.
