Most of us have either now finished, or are about to finish The Last Of Us Part 2. I think it's fair to say that, just as Naughty Dog promised, the sequel has been an incredibly divisive game.

Even here at GAMINGbible, we can't quite agree on the gritty post-apocalyptic horror. In his review, Mark Foster praised the story but gave it a 7/10, citing pacing issues as the main offender in a story that was altogether too bleak. Mike Diver has argued that it aimed for masterpiece status, but ultimately fell short.

Meanwhile, I absolutely loved everything about the game and am fairly confident that it will ultimately go down as an all-time favourite for me. Each to their own, eh?

Now, popular YouTuber Felix 'PewDiePie' Kjellberg has waded into the icy waters of The Last Of Us Part II discourse to have his say on the game, and... he's not a fan.

Kjellberg, who recently completed his streamed playthrough of the game, argued that the game's muddled approach to narrative was a real issue. If you haven't played yet, The Last Of Us Part 2 does jump about in time at several points - and not always to great effect.

"I think everything was a mess. So I didn't have much expectations after that," Kjellberg said "If they just changed the order of things, I think it would be better. And maybe tighten up some parts. I guess I would rather play this game than a really mediocre game, even though I really, really didn't like it."

He added that he probably wouldn't play through the game again, but might have done so if it was a little shorter. Another fair criticism, to be honest. As much as I loved the story and characters, I did get the feeling it went on for about four hours longer than it needed to. Then again, there's been much discussion recently about the fact modern AAAs need to tighten up.

Kjellberg didn't entirely hate what he played though. He had praise for the fact that a game starring a same-sex couple would be played by millions of people - and yeah, that's absolutely the kind of representation we love to see. He also said that he had fun streaming the game with his fans... although that's less to do with the game, I guess.

In the end, he rated The Last Of Us Part II a 6/10 and added that he "didn't hate it." Even as someone who thinks it's a GOTY contender, I can see a lot of his points. It's also worth noting that he actually finished the game before rushing to Metacritic to give it a 0/10 after the first two hours. Imagine if more people did that?
