GTA 6 fans absolutely loved the first two trailers for the game, and now they reckon they’ve worked out when Trailer 3 might release.
The first two trailers for Grand Theft Auto 6 were released over a year apart, and we’re still just under 11 months away from the release of the game.
In the meantime, it’s likely that Rockstar Games is cooking up a third trailer for us all to feast our eyes on when the time arrives. Hopefully this trailer will have actual gameplay to see too, rather than just in-engine footage.
It’ll likely not be for a while though, but one GTA 6 fan in particular reckons they’ve worked out when it could be released.

Over on the GTA 6 Reddit page, user EinfachBlueG predicted a window for when they believe Rockstar will release the third trailer for GTA 6.
Using maths to calculate how soon before launch Rockstar released a third trailer for its previous games, GTA 5, GTA 4, Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2, they used an average and settled on a date of 17th January, 2026.
Obviously, it probably won’t be this date specifically. But somewhere in winter might make sense.
That’s when Rockstar might open up pre-orders and we finally find out how much the game will cost. It'll also be the two-year anniversary of the first trailer in December too.
On the other hand, Rockstar might wait until a little closer to release day until it decides to drop a new trailer.
I’m holding out for one of those gameplay overview trailers like they used to make, but it could still be a while before we get one of those. I guess we'll just play the waiting game.
GTA 6 will be released for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on 26th May, 2026.
