Fallout meets Resident Evil and War Of The Worlds in terrifying new alien horror

Fallout meets Resident Evil and War Of The Worlds in terrifying new alien horror

Excuse us while we go lock all the doors and turn all the lights on

Not nearly enough horror games delve into the sheer terror that is sci-fi. Some have tried in the past, and thoroughly succeeded, but the fact remains that sci-fi horror is often overlooked and/or under baked.

Well, not anymore.

We are simply blown away by this alien horror game, which can only be described as terrifying. Bringing together features from beloved franchises Fallout and Resident Evil, CHORDOSIS creates the most horrifying War of the Worlds-esque experience you can imagine.

Prepare to be scared in CHORDOSIS!

“Absolute masterpiece,” commented one horror fan. “Let me see anyone else develop such beautiful graphics and layouts on their own.” This truly is an incredible result from a solo developer, further highlighting just how capable indie creatives are now in the games industry.

Another wowed gamer praised CHORDOSIS for “amazing” them at just how close to real life the graphics are. It certainly feels like watching a movie rather than scenes from a video game, which only makes the jumpscares and tension all the more spine tingling.

On itch.io it’s got rave reviews, with its average score 4.8. “WOW! Just WOW! This is by far the best alien horror game I have ever played, and one of the best indie horror games I have ever come across!” reads one review. “‘Im Impressed with what the developer has achieved creating this game all by himself, [and] I cannot wait for the next episodes! 10/10!”

Knowing that the game will be episodic is brilliant news for those of us who prefer longer horror experiences, while also hopefully offering the developer the potential to move the game onto other platforms, like Steam, in the near future.

With YouTubers already getting a lot of positive feedback from their playthroughs of this hair-raising alien horror, we’re eager to see it get the credit it deserves. We’re off to play it for ourselves now – if you hear any screams, it’s just us running wildly from aliens.
