Do you smell that? It’s the whiff of the weekend quickly approaching.
With yet another working week over, Epic Games is treating us all to another batch of free games.
This time around, you can claim two games with a total value of around $30. As always, once claimed, they’re yours to keep forever and you don’t need any sort of subscription.
The only ‘catch’, and it isn’t really a catch, is that you can only redeem these games on PC.
Let’s begin with what’s arguably more appealing of the two offerings, River City Girls 2, which commands a retail price of $19.99.

This RPG sequel centres around returning protagonists Misako, Kyoko, Kunio, and Riki, as well as new faces Marian and Provie, as they set out on a new beat ‘em up adventure.
Playable solo or via co-op (both online and local), the so-called River City Girls will come face to face with more bad guys, forcing you into plenty of knuckle-busting skirmishes.
Outside of battle, you can recruit defeated foes to join you, unlock new moves, and visit shops to acquire new accessories.
“River City is bigger than ever, offering more areas to explore, more objects to destroy, and a day-night cycle,” devs teased of this 2022 release.

While it's recommended that you play the original River City Girls, you should still get an ample kick out of the sequel if you go in blind.
It boasts a score of 78 on Metacritic, with a slightly higher score of 85% on Steam.
“This is the greatest game ever,” remarked one player, while another added, “Everything that made the first one great, just improved.”
The second freebie is the incredibly strange I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream, which usually commands a top price of $9.99.
This one landed all the way back in 1996, so is quite the retro blast from the past - and it’s definitely not one to play if you’re looking to relax and unwind after work.
“The adventure plunges you into the tortured and hidden past of five humans,” begins the game’s synopsis.
“Delve into their darkest fears. Outwit the Master Computer AM in a game of psychological warfare. Disturbing, compelling. An adventure you won't easily forget.”

It clearly features adult themes, so do keep that in mind.
Players will have to explore each of the featured characters’ surroundings, finding helpful items, unearthing uncomfortable truths, and making important choices.
It boasts a score of 88% on Steam. All scores are correct at the time of writing.
“I'm currently on the last human story, and I must say the stories are really interesting. The voice acting is good, and the graphics look amazingly sharp for a game from 1996,” reads one review.
Someone else simply referred to it as a “timeless gem”, with many users advising that you may need to use a guide.
Both games are free until 4pm BST on Thursday, July 9, so don’t take too long to decide whether you want to claim them.
At that point, the next line-up becomes available, which consists of Nova Lands and Tattoo Tycoon.
