Grand Theft Auto VI’s delays hit gamers like a ton of bricks though Rockstar Games never specified what pushed the game’s release date back. Now fans believe they’ve figured it out.
Rockstar Games, as we all know, has always strived for quality in its AAA releases and gamers are still using titles like Red Dead Redemption 2 to judge the newest players on the block, like 007 First Light.
GTA VI is expected to be a technological marvel which makes the mistakes spotted in its trailer all the more hilarious.
If you’re wondering just how badly Rockstar’s code of silence is affecting gamers, look no further than this now viral post by leonidacentral.
The post shared a brief snippet of GTA VI’s second trailer, which fans are now realising has a glaring mistake hidden within it, a floating traffic light. “Is this a minor oversight or a reason causing delay?” jokingly asked leonidacentral.
Fans found a floating streetlight in GTA 6 Trailer 2.

One of the top replies came from Nico_M27 who said “Holy s*** people actually have this much time on their hands? Lmao”
Because Rockstar Games refuses to speak about the game outside of new trailers and delay announcements fans have had a lot of time to draft theories on it.
These range from someone using the planetary alignments to predict the third GTA VI trailer to those believing Rockstar has finally bit off more than it can chew with its latest open-world.
No, a floating traffic light won’t have been why GTA VI got delayed. The footage used for the trailers was likely from an earlier build and still had a couple of mistakes left in it.
That’s not to say development has been smooth sailing though. GTA VI is said to be one of the biggest open-world games we’ve ever seen and ex-Rockstar Games employees have spoken about the current conditions plaguing the studio.
Time crunch is a big issue and while Take-Two Interactive has spoken out in support of Rockstar’s efforts, basically saying it got as much time and budget as it needed, the pressure will still be on.
GTA VI is now locked in for release on 19 November and will not suffer another delay, the latest Take-Two earnings call squashed that concern.
The call also said the game’s marketing will begin over Summer 2026, which means we might get that third trailer later this month.
There’s a lot going on this week with a PlayStation State of Play broadcast, Summer Game Fest, an Xbox showcase and possibly a Nintendo Direct, so we’re imagining the next time we see GTA VI will be towards the end of June when all the craziness has died down.
