It's been a pretty exciting year for Star Wars fans. Between all the upcoming Disney+ shows and the cavalcade of cameos that the second series of The Mandalorian tossed our way each week, it seems like the folk at Disney and LucasFilm have been having a blast diving deep into the lore of the franchise to pull out surprise return after surprise return.
After The Mandalorian's series two finale, I'm now firmly of the opinion that there's nobody Disney is beyond bringing back to a galaxy far, far away. Even if the actors didn't want to do it for the fans or the scripts, you can only imagine how much money the House Of Mouse is able to throw at people to get them to do things. And so it is that the fans now believe Disney just dropped a hint that none other Samuel L. Jackson's Jedi Mace Windu could return to the fold in the future.
Wishing the iconic actor a happy Birthday while strongly hinting at an incoming reprisal of the role he played in the prequel trilogies, a message on the official Star Wars Instagram account reads: "The party isn't over, it's just beginning! Sending a very happy birthday to Samuel L. Jackson."

Disney's message is of course a reference to one of Windu's lines in Attack Of The Clones, when he confronts Count Dooku and Jango Fett and informs them that the party is over. The "party" in question being the evil machinations of the Sith, obviously. Disney's wording seems to heavily imply that Jackson could return as Windu, however... most likely in one of the many upcoming Star Wars Disney+ shows.
I'm not sure whether or not Jackson would come back for his own series, but I wouldn't bet against the actor returning for the upcoming Obi Wan Kenobi show alongside fellow prequel alum Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen.
I know what you're probably thinking at this point: Windu appeared to meet his end at the hands of Palpatine in Revenge Of The Sith, which is set before the Obi Wan show, so how could they bring him back for such a series? Simple: death doesn't seem to mean anything in Star Wars anymore. Just look at Boba Fett, Darth Maul, and even Palpatine himself. If those guys can come back, surely there's space for the coolest purple-saber-wielding Jedi in the galaxy?
