The Elder Scrolls VI is still wanted but for the time being this Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim expansion is all we need.

Skyrim is still going strong after so many years, and with this year’s Game Awards being held 15 years after its initial reveal, fans are anticipating an announcement from Bethesda.

Many are hoping it’ll have something to do with The Elder Scrolls VI, potentially a gameplay trailer. Others are being more practical and predicting yet another re-release of Skyrim, as if we don’t have enough versions to play as is.

That said, Skyrim has been a godsend in the wait for The Elder Scrolls VI as its endless supply of mods have kept the game fresh as we wait for its sequel.

If you’re looking to expand your game further the Lordbound mod might be your cup of tea, as it comes highly recommended from those who’ve played it.

Lordbounds’ Nexus Mods description reads: “The drums of war are beating inside the Druadach Valley. After two hundred years of isolation the valley has restored its severed connections to the provinces of Skyrim and High Rock, exposing its withered remains to the rest of Tamriel.”

The mod has taken an extraordinary 12 years to develop, but it’s finally available to play and fans are loving it.

They said as much in a Reddit thread promoting the expansion, outlining some of the neat additions it makes as well as some areas of improvement for future updates to tackle.

At the time of writing those who’ve tried the mod have reported a lot of bugs, so quite a few fixes are going to be needed.

Reddit user kamyfc praised the new dungeons, factions and world-building in addition to the customisable options like changing the weather.

Another player’s experience with the expansion read: “Played a new game last evening, rescued a dog. Charming. Expected more bugs to be honest. Basically, treat it as an unvoiced mod (voiced lines occur sparingly).”

“This wasn't on my radar so I went to check out the page last night” read another, “I'm tracking it and I'll look forward to seeing where it develops from here. Hopefully this engages a lot of buzz and stokes the creative fires to keep the team hyped to get it to a 1.0 state.”

Lordbound is finally here after so many years, and if you can look the other way when bugs are involved it’s worth checking out.
