While we wait for The Elder Scrolls VI, this next-gen Skyrim mod will not only keep us entertained but will blow you away.

Long before now, The Elder Scrolls VI has morphed into somewhat of a meme as fans agonisingly wait its release for a game that Bethesda announced during E3 2018. At this point, it’s understandable why fans continue to roast the announcement from seven years ago.

Check out The Elder Scrolls VI teaser trailer below!

We can only hope that Bethesda will give us a release date or gameplay at this year's Xbox Games Showcase which will take place in June during the Summer Game Fest season. That being said, I won’t be holding my breath.

While we wait for news on The Elder Scrolls VI, Skyrim, a game that was originally released in 2011 on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, continues to be the gift that keeps on giving. Not only due to its re-releases on every new console generation but also its ever-talented modding community.

One such mod or I should say a series of mods, has been showcased in a video on the YouTube channel, Next-Gen Games. It’s fair to say that Skyrim probably hasn't looked better and to no surprise, it’s impressed fans of The Elder Scrolls series.

Of course, not only is this version of Skyrim made possible thanks to mods, but you will also need a beast of a gaming PC. As detailed in the description of the aforementioned video, this modded Skyrim is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, a GeForce RTX 4090, an ASUS ROG Strix B650 motherboard and more.

Simply put, Skyrim looks glorious running at a 4K resolution and a super-slick 60 frames-per-second with mods that massively improve its visuals.

“These videos are tempting me to buy Skyrim on Steam to replay and mod the crap out of it. This looks so good,” said soleus.

“Holy ….,” exclaimed waykiwayki.

“Please do Fallout 4,” pleaded DemonManee.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. It’s also currently available with a subscription to Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium.
