The Elder Scrolls 6 may still be a few years away, but players wanting to tuck into a new Tamriel adventure can do so with this new free download.
The Elder Scrolls 3: Troxulgia is a brand new mod for Morrowind which adds a brand new region to explore, along with new quests, characters, dungeons, and more to enjoy.
Developed by modder Jyggalagpuff, the fan-made expansion is available to play now for all PC versions of The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind.
Troxulgia is a brand new region created just for the mod, described as a "vast and mysterious island far beyond the known shores of Tamriel" and home to an ancient Argonian race which left Tamriel generations ago.

It features ancient forests, remote villages, and forgotten ruins, all populated by strange people and creatures which inhabit the island.
Deep within this island, you'll also find massive dungeons, as well as uncover ancient religious traditions and secrets which have been buried by the inhabitants.
The map itself is around twice the size of Bloodmoon, making it fairly large by Morrowind's standards. And when you factor in the different locations and quests that you can do while playing through this expansion, Jyggalagpuff claims there's around "20+ hours of gameplay" for you to discover.

The Elder Scrolls 3: Troxulgia will tide us over until The Elder Scrolls 6
The mod is still a work in progress, but Jyggalagpuff says that the game world and story are both finished, but there "may be room to add dungeons, interiors, side quests, and other content in the future".
Putting that aside, North Markers also need to be added to every interior, and ownership for every item in NPCs' homes are also required. But overall, Troxulgia is "95-98% complete" as of right now, so it seems like a great time to pick up the mod.
However, keep in mind that there may still be bugs present in the mod which haven't been ironed out yet, as is typically the case with first-time mod releases.
Jyggalagpuff says that they'll need help from the community to overcome this last step, where feedback from players will help them to refine the mod and implement fixes to any overwhelming issues.
"I have separated the assets and ESP into different folders. This will make it easier for you to download and install future updates. It is highly recommended that you do not look at asset names, open the Construction Set, or use the command console to work your way through the environment," Jyggalagpuff warns, as you will potentially spoil your game experience.
"Play it as you would any other game. Explore naturally, follow the story, and allow yourself to discover things as they were intended to be discovered. If you encounter bugs, strange behavior, or anything that seems out of place, please report it."
