Steam has just gained a brand new cosy game available for you to download, and it’s completely free to play.

One of Steam’s best perks is that it has a pretty consistent supply of free games available for you to play at a click’s notice.

Just from browsing through the newly released games on Steam, you can often find several free games getting released every single day. That makes it a little tricky to find something worth your while.

Lucky for you, we've found something that might be up your alley.

Novel Haven on Steam seems to be getting a lot of positive buzz judging from the reviews, and it seems to be one that cosy game fans will want to download immediately.

While not a long game, Novel Haven is based on the popular book series by Anabelle Stehl (who is also credited for this game alongside SkyCat Games) and tasks you with transforming an old lighthouse into a thriving bookshop.

Novel Haven Takes You To A Small Coastal Town To Renovate A Lighthouse

Taking place in a coastal town, you’ll renovate the lighthouse and turn it into a cosy book store, where you can tweak and design it entirely to your liking. You can help villagers with quests, uncover hidden secrets, and create a real literary sanctuary for your visitors.

Meanwhile, you can also adopt small pets to keep in the shop, with possible pets like cats and dogs available to add, along with capybaras.

Funnily enough, this is now the third time this week I’ve covered a game featuring capybaras. Please keep sending me more capybara games to write about. If this becomes my niche, so be it.

“For a free game, I really can't complain much. Chill, relaxing atmosphere and gameplay; nice pixelart and music, story is nothing special but the voice acting is a welcome addition. Not too long. Give it a play,” reads one review on Steam.

“Well made cozy/casual game with nice voice acting,” reads another review.

“Overall, it was a good use of my time, and I look forward to seeing more from the dev, particularly the artist,” a third review reads.

A "good use of my time" is a glowing review in my eyes. It's free, so what else are you going to do? Play the same game again? Yeah, me too.

If you’re interested in checking out Novel Haven, you can now check it out by downloading the game from Steam for free.
