PC storefront Steam has added yet another four free games, so it’s perhaps time you gave up on attempting to clear your backlog.

Just because a game is free, that doesn’t always make it worth playing, but this latest line-up features several promising titles that may be to your liking.

Let’s begin with Gunja Tteokbokki, a charming culinary sim that’s already garnered an impressive review score from players of 84%.

Developed by Milky Expedition, the game sees players run their own little shop in Japan, serving up the very best tteokbokki to customers.

You’ll have to contend with “orders pouring in, broth bubbling over, and the daily pressure of balancing the books”.

It has a relatively short runtime, but that hasn’t stopped players from having a blast.

“Most realistic food service industry sim I ever played. Fast, stressful, so much I got PTSD from when I used to work at a restaurant. Would recommend 10/10,” wrote one player.

If that doesn’t do it for you, perhaps the dubiously titled Crack Mountain will.

Created by Wyind, this one’s an action-adventure game with plenty of platforming involved.

You play a character who attempts to climb a mountain with the lure being that upon reaching the top, they can make a wish for anything in the world.

To climb the mountain, you’ll need to throw a bouncy ball that teleports you which perhaps sounds easier than it is. One wrong throw and you could launch yourself off a cliff edge.

There are side activities in Crack Mountain too, with devs teasing that you can “talk with flowers, join a cult, [and] swordfight a great warrior”.

With a Mostly Positive 78% review score at the time of writing, it’s another one well worth your consideration.

As is Immortal Clan: Grandmastery with its 75% review score.

Developed by Efun Company Limited, Immortal Clan: Grandmastery describes itself as an “Eastern fantasy xianxia sim-management game”.

In simple terms, you step into the shoes of a founding master who’s tasked with building a sect. You must recruit disciples, assigning them tasks, and engaging in turn-based battles as you grow and establish your mini empire.

Players have already praised the game’s “unique visuals” although mention that gacha mechanics are present.

“If you've been reading xianxia novels, this game will scratch that itch you have for managing a sect, I suppose. Once you get the hang of everything you need to do for the day, it's a pretty chill game,” remarked one player.

With A Runtime Of Just Under 14 Hours, Danger Cliff 2 Is A Generous Offering

Finally, you may want to check out Danger Cliff 2 from solo dev Ernest Whitehead.

In this side scrolling 2D platformer, you’ll play as Cone Man, running, jumping, and drilling your way to victory.

Featuring gorgeous retro visuals, there’s a warmth to Danger Cliff 2 as players navigate plenty of intricate levels that’ll certainly be of appeal to Mario and Sonic fans.

There are also reportedly lots of dragons which I suppose is a cool bonus.

While there aren’t quite enough reviews for a consensus, early players have called the game “cute and fun”.

In fact, one player wrote, “This Game is SO GREAT! I beat it in 13.7 hours in one sitting.” That’s a hefty runtime for a free game.

All of the above games are available to enjoy now on PC storefront Steam.
