It’s always a joyous occasion when a game you had on your wishlist ends up being free-to-play.
If you’re an avid cosy gamer, there’s a decent chance you may have heard of Find Your Words.
After surfacing in various cosy showcases over the last year, Find Your Words has finally launched - and best of all, it’s launched as a surprise free-to-play title.
Developed and published by Capybara Games, Find Your Words is most definitely something Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, and Pokémon Pokopia fans will get a kick out of.

Here though, you won’t partake in farming or mining. You’ll step into the shoes of a kid at summer camp with the goal being to “find your community [...] one friendship at a time”.
“Take a beat, enjoy a breath of fresh air - all while playing at the beach, strolling in the woods, and dancing with friends,” the synopsis reads. That sure sounds bliss.
Throughout your adventure, you’ll explore Camp Pals, engage with the local wildlife, befriend campers, play hide and seek, dance, and enjoy plenty of other hobbies.
The unique quirk of Find Your Words is that the game’s characters don’t speak, instead using a communication binder full of activities, emotions, locations, and descriptors that can be used to exhibit how they’re feeling.

As players progress through the game, they’ll gain more symbols for their binder, therefore extending their means of communication.
The idea behind this is that Find Your Words was created by two dads with non-speaking kids who both had experiences using AAC, or Augmentative and Alternative Communication.
While Find Your Words is a fun and cosy game that can be enjoyed by all, it also raises awareness surrounding alternative methods of communication beyond speech.
As mentioned, Find Your Words is totally free to play on PC storefront Steam or if you do want to support devs, you can actually purchase the game’s Supporter Pack for $4.99 / £4.59 which includes the game’s soundtrack plus a printable activity book.
At the time of writing, the game boasts a perfect score of 10/10 on Steam.
“It’s just such a sweet and wholesome game. I LOVE that it brings awareness to AAC in such a gentle way. The game is free, but I ended up buying the DLC to show some support,” wrote one reviewer.
“Such a lovely game!! I 100% completed it in 40 minutes so it's super short but super sweet. It's so nice that it's free to help raise awareness for AAC, and it was a delight to play. definitely will buy the supporter dlc,” added another.
