Steam releases free download for 9/10 RPG

Don't sleep on this

Steam users can try a fantastic Viking-themed RPG for free on Steam right now, ant comes highly recommended from review scores.

There are a lot of great games on Steam right now, like Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, and even more on the way like Sonic X Shadow Generations, but if you’re biding your time until payday for a new AAA game there are plenty of freebies worth consideration.

Another awesome game out now is the Silent Hill 2 remake, which you can see below

The Steam freebie we’re talking about today is a free demo for a game that honestly gives me Hades and God Of War: Raganarok vibes.

It’s called Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel, and players can try it for free on Steam right now, no strings attached.

The game’s description reads “Hordes of Hel is a thrilling roguelike horde-survivor game set in a Dark Viking Underworld. Fight waves of enemies to earn divine blessings of ancient Norse Gods, explore hostile realms, summon powerful bosses, and prove your worth in epic battles. Become a god-like warrior in this ultimate showdown.”

Like any good roguelike there are plenty of upgrades to acquire, enemy variations to tackle, and having to commune with the Gods for enhanced abilities is very Hades-esque.

It’s still pretty early into the game’s development cycle, but regardless it’s impressed those who’ve played it, making the demo a must-play for any fan of the genre, or if you just think it looks interesting.

This is reflected in the reviews, one of which says the game “looks good and plays well! … a great little game and I can hardly wait to see more!”

Another review called the game “ awesome, I love it! great leap for the genre,” and another added that it has “wonderful potential.”

So don’t hesitate to check the game out on Steam right now for free, and if you like it keep an eye out for its full release later this year.
