We're always chasing games that have avoided our grasp for so long due to big price tags. But if you're a simulation fan, or an enjoyer of wildlife, or just looking for something new entirely, boy, do we have a treat for you.
Simulation titles like Animal Crossing are a tried-and-tested blueprint to success.
Yet with cutesy games like that, there's always a wish that you can step into the real world and have a little sprinkling of mischievous monkey business to enjoy, just to go a step further.
Planet Zoo gives you that in bucketloads.

Yet paying $55 can be a hefty price to pay for a game that you don't know will live up to the expectations of an already-brilliant title like Animal Crossing.
So, what if it was $2?
Thanks to another huge Steam discount, it is. Planet Zoo is now 95% off, and its the perfect chance to unlock serenity and madness in one coup.
Having launched in 219, Planet Zoo is still one of the best sim titles out there, bringing a bit of The Lion King and Madagascar to your life.
It's now also worth just $2, as the base game is being discounted by 95%.
Arguably slightly better, for an additional 50 cents, you can get the Deluxe Edition (usually an extra $10), which offers an additional 16 species through the Southeast Asia and Wetlands animal packs, and two campaign missions.
There are also 60% discounts on all of the animal packs individually, if you have an itch to see your favourite species.

It does come with a warning. If you're expecting complete tranquillity, watching red pandas graze on bamboo and orangutans cosying up in the trees, well, you will get that - but you'll also get chimpanzees being hell-bent on escaping into other enclosures and pure chaos erupting in different pens if they go unchecked.
In our 7/10 review, we wrote that Planet Zoo is every bit as amazing as it is an absolute whirlwind experience, straying away from the bliss Animal Crossing recipe adopted by others, and instead being a true recollection of wild life.
"Planet Zoo: Console Edition certainly delivers a memorable experience, even without continuously dropping the ball like I did. Having proved a huge success on PC, being able to finally embark on your journey into the world of animal conservation via your consoles is welcomed," we wrote.
"The animals all look incredible. Seeing as how the game is all about the animals, their being the most realistic looking aspect is all I truly care about.
"Even now, I know I’ll return to the game and sink more hours into seeing my efforts crash and burn, all because I can enter camera mode and watch a lemur do something ridiculously cute while I was coo at the screen. For those animals, it’s worth the sacrifice of my sanity."
The discounts for Planet Zoo are running until July 16, so make sure to take full advantage while you can, and keep the game forever.
